MEET STEPHANIE SPARROW aka Elle ectric

Etherial Vancouver folk artist who’s sound reminds us of a fairy, singing and playing guitar amidst the birds with a coastal forest backdrop.


This artist formerly known as the frontwoman of electro indie band "Elle Ectric" has gone solo and taken the journey back to her West Coast -Metric-meets-Enya roots… meets Mazzy Star… meets Amy Winehouse? Well, you’ll just have to meet her to decide for yourself.

Her debut release explores the theme of creativity and the self.  It was created with the intent of challenging the listener to explore their own creative journey; and the fear and obstacles they may face before finding their truth all while using the natural beauty of the west coast for inspiration.

Stephanie is now back after an 8-year hiatus, creating once more. And sharing her art again.

A transitional era when Stephanie partnered up with talented artist, songwriter and producer, Chloe Anne Lloyd (Clementyne Music) for a creative project that took them all around the city.

Collaborating WITH PRODUCERS: ELECTO

Word got around that Stephanie was writing topline, and this started a year of collabs with Vancouver producers. Her most notable topline was for Light Years Away that yealted 5 remixes including Whoxton Hores.

Where were you during the age of elle ectric? After the album wraped, the formed band took it on the town: Bandmates Stephanie + Bob Graham, Clayton Giles, Robin Wilson, and Ben Hemera began promoting & playing around the city at iconic venues including the Roxy, Joe's Apartment, The Railway Club, and more.

In 2008, Stephanie attended acting school, where she was introduced to a production group that invited her to star in and write music for an independent production. The team, including producer B Morales, recorded an unreleased album with hip hop flare. (Stephanie even raps)

The songs were done, and Stephanie was itching to record. The band (with session drummer Timmy Boom Bap and guest pianist Simon Kendall) got to business, recording the 4-song album at the iconic Armoury Studio in Vancouver, BC.
